The Sock That Needs No Introduction

Pattern: Jaywalker by Grumperina
Materials: Sz 0 addi turbo, Regia Mini Ringel #5340 (2 balls, with tons of leftover yarn)
Notes: I cast on 76 sts for the smallest size in Sz 0 needles, and they still came out a bit loose. I usually cast on 60 sts on Sz 0 addi’s for my ribbed socks.. so I guess 76 sts is a bit too much, even for the zig-zaggy pattern. I’m going to reduce it to 68 sts for my next pair…Yes that’s right..there is going to be a next pair.

Aside from knitting Jaywalkers.. I haven’t done much knitting the last few days.. feeling just a wee bit uninspired. But I’ve had that before.. and I’m sure things will pick up again soon. And you can be damn sure I ain’t jaywalking in L.A.. a few years ago one of my friends did a little bit of jaywalking and got slapped with a $90 ticket. OuCh! That’s enough money for more jaywalker sock yarn!

I love the way the stripes enhance the zigzagginess of the pattern. So cute!

Heeeeeey I love the color. Thee look totally different than all the other millions of jaywalkers out there, with the defined stripes and such. I like I like! Maybe I’ll use that very yarn and pattern for my very first pair of socks.

Best color combo for the jaywalkers I’ve seen so far! (No offense to others..) You did a beautiful job. As you also did on the Forecast sweater. Nice work!

Teehee! I entitled my post “Don’t jaywalk in LA! It’s illegal!” because of all the people I’ve known to get tickets here. Of course I obey all traffic laws and never get in trouble……. and your socks look fantatic! I think the striped yarn is the way to go.

Ooh, now I think I have some Ringel yarn in my stash. I’d been debating about using my Lorna’s Laces, but this might be the way to go. That’s if I still have any Ringel left. I dunno. But those are my favorite of all the Jaywalkers I’ve seen too. The ringel looks fabulous in this pattern. I just found your blog recently via Glampyre and I really like it. You do a great job!
