Memorial Day Weekend

FOs, Life, Socks Add comments

Ha, I know, that weekend has come and gone. I spent some time doing this…

Father's Office

Yes, having cold beer (good!) outdoors on an uncharacteristically cold day (bad!)….and finished a pair of Child’s First Socks.

Child's First Socks

Pattern: Child’s First Socks in Knitting Vintage Socks

Material: Sz 1 needles, and a big honking ball of Regia Jubilee India.

My right foot

Notes: No mods, yea and the yarn is a little too busy for this pattern. But sometimes, you don’t listen to your inner smart-ass. It happens. Fits well though. And those leftovers? Perfect for iPhone cozies.

iPhone Cozy

Waste not, want not. *Whack!* Who am I kidding… there are two hanks of new sock yarn staring back at me as I type this. Now let’s go back to this……

Bad Ass

(Unknown beer at Father’s Office, Culver City, CA. Best sweet potato fries.)

Ugh! I haven’t been to Father’s Office yet! I’ve heard nothing but good things about those sweet potato fries…and their burgers! I’m going…soon! Oh, love all those socks, BTW! :)

Those sock look super comfy. I hope to learn to knit socks later this year. I can’t imagine using size 1 needles though.

Love the beer at Father’s Office, and the burgers and the sweet potato fries. Oh yeah, and the wine list. I’ve only been to the one in Santa Monica tho, glad to know about Culver City.

That beer is freakin’ killing me! I don’t even drink a lot of beer, but for some reason pregnancy has made it irresistible. I’m allowed to have a little, but not a big frosty delicious glass like that, damn you! I like the busy socks. They may not highlight all of the nuances of the pattern, but they are very, very pretty. Success!
