2010

Thursday, 20. May 2010

Well, it appears that after my last post in 2008, I jumped ship. To maintain continuum, let’s just say that 2009 sucked the big one. Yes, sucked. the. big. one.

I'll miss you, Sunny Cali. Don't you forget me.

The largest change for me in the year 2009 was that I have been uprooted from So. Cal. For the last 6 months, I have been residing in Boise, ID. Culture shock? You betcha. This is where I’ll be for the next few years, and regardless of how I feel about the place, I’ve grudgingly settled in. (No, Winnie, tell us how you really feel).

I debated for a few months whether or not to just shut down the site since I’m not as proliferate a knitter as I once was, and but found out that I really lack the cojones to just click on that “delete my account” button. For better or worse, I’ve decided to blog again. This time around, however, it’ll probably be more than just a knitting blog. I figured that my life has changed, and why not document it? I’ll whine, I’ll rant, and maybe also sneak in a few knitting pictures. Perhaps when I look back in a couple of years, this will all be funny.  Believe you me, I’ve got stories.

Welcome back, readers.

Hey I’ve had you in my reader for the last year….hoping you would blog again. I found your blog about 2 posts before you jumped ship. Your designs are the kind of knitwear I want to wear, so very styley. Very pleased that you resisted the delete button!

welcome back!! I’m interested to see the new-wave of your blogging. I’m sorry about your 2009- I had a year like that in 2007. Only I didn’t end up in Boise, Idaho- the closet I got was an odd roadtrip to Boardman, Ohio.

Welcome back! (I’m guilty of knit-blog abandonment as well)

Welcome back you! I think there has been a lot of change in many lives, without even including Ravelry … change is life.

My life has change unbelievable over the past six years, but especially the last three. I too often thought about deleting my blog, but am so pleased that I have not. Within a couple of months I too will begin blogging on a regular basis and my posts will at long last contain knitting.

So welcome back and look forward to hearing from you!

Winnie!! I’ve missed you! I wondered what happened.
I am so glad to see you back on your blog, although I am very sorry to hear that 2009 sucked. Uh, SoCal to Boise must have almost felt like you were moving countries! I look forward to reading your stories. Welcome back!

Welcome back to the world of blogging – observations of Boise would be interesting for someone like me…

Idaho? eep. Sorry about that….On the other hand, you get all the potatoes you can eat, and if you want to visit Portland, I’m happy to take you to knitting stores and cheer you up.

    Welcome back :)

Oh wow! You’ve been on my blogroll for a long time, and well, I live in Boise too. I have a love-hate relationship with Idaho; it can be a nice place to live if you enjoy the outdoors, but certain aspects of the culture could do with an improvement (perhaps the understatement of the century). At any rate, welcome to Boise!

still reading and a bit excited about the return, cannot wait to hear more about idaho and the such…and i like the fact there there will be more than knitting…you are one of the first blogs i ever read, back when i was a novice knitter and you schooled me in the way of knitting. now i have three year old twins and you are in idaho and i love that there is still this blog.

i always read for more than just the knitting. :) a
